CITY OF HOUSTON
RECYCLING CENTERS
The City of Houston operates 12 drop-off locations where residents can dispose of various type of materials at no cost. You may be asked to show ID and an utility bill at the gate to dispose of some items like appliances or household hazardous waste.

The 6 neighborhood depositary centers accept materials accepted in the recycling bin and additional items like tree waste and furniture.

The Recycling Center and Environmental Services Centers (ESC) have each a specific list, please refer to each center information to check what is accepted.

The Reuse Warehouse accepts building material that is in suitable condition for reuse.

Cabinets, copper, doors, electrical fixtures and equipment, fans, flooring material, glass, gutters, hardware, lighting, lumber, metal, mirrors, pipe, plumbing, plywood, roofing material, screens, sheetrock, sinks, showers, trim, tubs, wall coverings, or windows (No paint!)
